What is an event anomally?

An event anomaly is an exception to the usual repeating pattern. For example you might have coffee every week with Jane, but one week she cancels. You don't want a reminder that week, but you also don't want to delete the event completly as it'll be back to usual the following week. For this you can use an anomaly.

You can also edit a single event in a repeating pattern. To use the same example, Jane might be bringing along Tom next week so you can make a note of it for that week only. For details on how to perfom these actions see How do I exclude a day in a repeating pattern? and How do I modify a day in a repeating pattern?
